We just started working on a new version of CRM Queue Manager.

This version will have full support för CRM 2011 (both Online and On Premises) with support for Federated, LiveId, and OnlineFederated environments.
There will also be a configuration tool to upgrade/create the configuration file.

This version will be written in C# using the lastest SDK and LINQ.
CRM 4.0 support might be droped, we will try and keep it if we can.

Stay tuned :)

Alot has changed between CRM 4.0 and CRM 2011.

Microsoft has released new guidlines regarding development with CRM 2011 and alot of companies is starting to use Office 365.
CRM Queue Manager is today relying on SMTP to send notifications and other case relating emails.
Office 365 does not support SMTP unless the connection is made over TSL, and there is no easy way of doing TSL at the moment.

The good part is that the CRM Email router can do TSL and it works against Office 365 :)

To make CRM Queue Manager work well with Office 365 and CRM 2011 Online, we going to have to change the way emails are send.
SMTP support will still exist in the new version, but if you want to use any online mail solution that uses TSL (like Office 365), you will need CRM 2011 and the Email router to send your emails.

The downside of using the Email router to send mail, is that an email activity is going to be created and tracked in your CRM.
